Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal is all set to take on Nottingham Forest at the Emirates Stadium in the Premier League. The visitors will be under the new manager, Ange Postecoglou, who took over the reins from Nuno Espirito Santo. The Gunners will be aiming for the top spot in the league with a win over Forest.
Things haven’t been smooth sailing for Forest. The former manager, Nuno Santo, had a row with the hierarchy before parting ways with the club. Meanwhile, Postecoglou, the former Tottenham manager, will be keen to put up a good show with his attacking instincts.

The London Reds remain in contention to fight for the top spot in the league. Just before the start of the international break, the side lost ace defender William Saliba to an injury. The good news, however, is that the French centre back has resumed training while recovering from his ankle injury.
On the other hand, defender Ben White is expecting a call-up after recovering from his knock. In terms of attack, Arteta has a serious problem with the likes of Gabriel Jesus, Kai Havertz and Bukayo Saka all out of the tie on account of being injured. New signing, Eberechi Eze is expecting his first start for the club after coming on as a sub for Gabriel Martinelli against the 1-0 loss to Liverpool.

Nottingham Forest has problems in their defence. Ola Aina is out with a hamstring injury; meanwhile, Oleksandr Zinchenko will be absent as he won’t be allowed to face his parent club in the league. As a result, Nicolo Savona is expected to start the game. The midfield options also look limited with Nicolas Dominguez also serving a knee injury. However, the Australian manager will be keen to showcase his attacking flair with a promising frontline.
The odds of this tie are heavily tipped in Arsenal’s favour. Mikel Arteta’s boys head into the tie being the firm favourites and are expected to score quite a few goals. The Gunners etched out a narrow 1-0 win against Manchester United on opening day before routing newly promoted Leeds United 5-0 at home. Though they lost 1-0 to Liverpool, the Gunners will be ready to pounce on Forest on their own turf.
All eyes, as usual, will be on the new signing Viktor Gyokeres, who has already notched up 2 goals in the league thus far. The Swede is desperate to showcase to the world that he is worth all the hype and the money which saw his big money move from Sporting to London. The odds at -130 back the striker to find his name among the goals when Arsenal take on Forest.
Captain Martin Odegaard is the creator as well as the engine in the midfield. Be it his defence-splitting through balls or free kicks, Arsenal will be dependent on their Norwegian midfielder to score or grab an assist. His fast transitional play and buildup playing style have +135 odds in his favour to either score or get an assist.
