Ace Bailey got selected as the No. 5 pick by the Utah Jazz in the 2025 NBA draft and the talented star from Chattanooga is ready to roar in the prestigious league. Bailey played for the Rutgers Scarlet Knights, establishing himself as one of the top tier talents coming into the 2025 NBA Draft. Bailey was a known star in the basketball circuit from his high school days. While playing for the McEachern High School in Powder Springs, he averaged 22 points, 14 rebounds, three assists and four blocks.

And that level of consistency came during just his junior year, showing signs of a future NBA star already in the making. Bailey further elevated his dominance in his senior year, exploding for 32.5 points, 15.5 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game. He attracted scholarships from Ohio State, Kentucky, Kansas, Texas, and Oregon.

Committing to Rutgers, Bailey continued his fine run. Although the Scarlet Knights struggled with an underwhelming record of 11-17, finishing at the ninth spot in the Big Ten Conference. The point guard’s numbers stayed up as he averaged 17.6 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 1.3 assists with an FG percent of 46.0.
