WNBA Same Game Parlay: Storm vs Wings Picks & Prediction

The WNBA is heading towards the postseason at a neck-breaking pace. We are going to see a lot of twists and turns in the second half of the season. The Seattle Storm (14-9) has been accustomed to such dramatic fates throughout the season.

They will be itching to get more consistent and will get their chance against the hapless Dallas Wings (6-17). The Wings are in tatters and are likely to be active before the trade deadline on August 7.

WNBA Same Game Parlay Pick #1- Money Line

The Storm are the obvious favorite here. But they are too vulnerable. Seattle had suffered a shocking loss against the league’s worst Connecticut Sun recently. Apart from that, their loss against the Mystics was highly underwhelming.

The Wings are on a four-game losing streak, but Seattle ought to do better with their experience and talent. Despite all the factors, there is no doubt that the Storm has a 75%+ chance of nailing the ML here.

WNBA Same Game Parlay #2 Pick- Skylar Diggins

Diggins was on fire till early July, but has lost some of her steam lately. She is averaging 17.5 PPG for the season. But she has scored 14 or fewer in five of the last six games. However, Dallas is one of the worst perimeter defensive teams and can give her many chances.

She scored just 9 in the last match against Dallas, but had 21 in the match before that. I see her scoring at least 16 here to break her current funk.

Storm vs Wings Player Props: Skylar Diggins O 15.5 Points

WNBA Same Game Parlay #3 Pick- Gabby Williams

Williams has also suffered offensive blues like Diggins lately. The Storm forward has scored in double-digits during the last two games. Before that, she had scored 16 or more in three straight games. Overall, the Storm Wing is tallying 13.2 PPG.

Despite her struggles, expecting her to score 10+ doesn’t seem like a stretch. So, I will opt for an Over 10.5 here.

WNBA Same Game Parlay #4- Paige Bueckers

Bueckers has exceeded expectations in every category. She has been a much better scorer than expected (18.4 PPG on 44.9% FG) and a much better playmaker(5.5 APG), too. Overall, the Wings PG has also done much better as a shooter.

She has converted 1.1 triples per game on a reliable 32.8% shooting. Bueckers has made at least 1 three-pointer in five of the last six games. I expect her to do so here as well.

Final Word on Storm vs Wings Picks

All these picks appear innocuous, but there is a catch. The Storm’s offense has been in shambles lately, scoring in the early 70s for most parts. Thus, expecting Diggins and Williams to score even below their season average has been a high expectation.

The ML and Bueckers selections appear the safest here. Overall, as individual bets, I’d have been more interested in the Bueckers bet, but the non-SGP selection will lean in on O 1.5 Three-Pointers, which will be too risky.
