Week 14 Thursday Night Football game tonight will be played between the Detroit Lions (11-1) and the Green Bay Packers (9-3) at the Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan. The Detroit Lions are on a 10-game win streak, with 5 home wins and a flawless 6-0 record on the road this season.

It won’t be an exaggeration to say that Jared Goff and co. are the better 11-1 side in the league (sorry Chiefs fans) through week 13.

The Lions offensive unit scores an average of 31.9 points per game while the defensive unit concedes less than 17 points (16.9) per game. Under OC Ben Johnson, the Lions have amassed 383 total points and 46 total touchdowns through week 13.

Lions QB Jared Goff is leading from the front with 2,982 yards for 22 passing touchdowns (and don’t forget his 1 receiving touchdown). The Sonic-Knuckles duo are doing well for the Lions too. Gibbs and Montgomery have 973 and 720 rushing yards to their name with 10 and 11 touchdowns respectively. Amon-Ra St. Brown leads receiving stats with 820 yards and 9 touchdowns. Wideout Jameson Williams and TE Sam LaPorta have 4 and 5 TDs respectively.

And the Lions have been excelling on the defense as well. They have allowed only 20 touchdowns in 12 games and allow only 6.7 passing and 4.4 rushing yards per attempt. Defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn has surely done commendable work on the Lions defense.

But take nothing away from the Green Bay Packers who are 9-3 through week 13. And after their week 9 loss to the Lions, they have won 3 in a row, with a show of dominance over the 49ers and the Dolphins. A team that is flying under the radar this season, there is no doubt that we will find the Packers in the playoffs this season.

Jordan Love has 2,518 passing yards for 20 touchdowns in 10 games with a 63% completion rate and a 95.4 passer rating. RB Josh Jacobs is having a phenomenal season too. Jacobs has 221 carries for 987 yards while averaging 82.3 yards per game for 8 touchdowns. Wideouts Jayden Reed and Romeo Doubs have combined stats of over 1500 receiving yards for 8 touchdowns. TE Tucker Kraft also has 6 touchdowns to his name.

A win here for the Lions will mean that they qualify for the postseason while tightening their grasp on the #1 seed in the NFC. The only game that the Lions have lost this season was a home game at Ford Field. But given the kind of form and momentum they are carrying right now, Detroit will fancy their chances of winning this one.
