Cedric Coward was selected as the eleventh pick in first round of the 2025 NBA Draft by the Portland Trail Blazers and was traded to the Memphis Grizzlies. The Former Washington State Cougars guard Coward began his basketball journey at Central High School. For college, he attended Division III Willamette University and averaged 19.4 points, 3.8 assists and 12.0 rebounds in his sole season with the institute. On the basis of his performance, Coward was named the Northwest Conference Freshman of the Year and earned first-team All-Northwest honors.

He was then transferred to Eastern Washington where he spent the next two years. There, he was awarded with NABC All-District (6) First Team and All-Big Sky First Team honors in 2023-24. In his redshirt junior season this past year, Coward was transferred to Washington State but was out of action for six games due to a shoulder injury. He led the Cougars’ charts with 17.7 points, 7.0 rebounds, 1.7 blocks on shooting splits of 55.7/40.0/83.9.
