Australian sensation Alex de Minaur and Britain’s Katie Boulter are undoubtedly one of the power couples going around in tennis. The duo began dating in March 2020, and announced their engagement last year. As Wimbledon approaches and a pressure-filled phase of the season awaits both players, the Australian was asked about potential marriage preparations.

Boulter and de Minaur made the engagement announcement on social media towards the end of 2024. “We’ve been keeping a small secret,” the Instagram post was captioned. The two stars, aged 28 and 26 respectively, were seen smiling in the picture while the Brit was wearing a ring. They are at the supposed peak of their careers, and keep dishing out an “aww!” moment for the tennis world.

Currently ranked No. 12 in the world, Alex de Minaur is on a 27-11 run this year. He reached the final at Rotterdam, as well as the semifinal stage in Monte Carlo. Meanwhile, Katie Boulter was recently dethroned as the British No. 1 after almost two years. Former US Open champion Emma Raducanu captured the crown from her. Nonetheless, Boulter has a highly anticipated grass court season to look forward to.

Alex de Minaur Reveals Marriage Preparation With Boulter: “Way Harder Than Tennis”

The former World No. 6 began his grass court campaign at the HSBC Championships in Queen’s Club, London on Tuesday. Unfortunately, he was knocked out by Jiri Lehecka of the Czech Republic in straight sets. Alex’s finance Boulter also featured in the WTA version of Queen’s last week, and reached the Round of 16. In an interview during his campaign, the Aussie was nudged about wedding planning.

“That’s the hardest job out there,” hilariously revealed de Minaur. “Way harder than playing tennis at the moment.” The Sydney-born speed machine is a quarterfinalist at all four majors. After a fan-favourite clip of Boulter consoling de Minaur after his Roland Garros elimination went viral, it was expected that he would be grilled about the potential “I do,” ceremony.

“I would like to say I have some sort of say in it [planning]. At least I think I do – that might not be 100%. But I do think we are probably looking at next year.” When Leicestershire’s very own Boulter was interrogated about the wedding earlier, she was more lowkey. “I’ve not been a massive dreamer about my wedding. As long as my family is there, I’ll be happy,” she stated.

With a potential date being revealed, fans will be counting down to 2026. The Boulter-de Minaur duo is certainly set to dazzle on and off the court for years to come!
