Sack Machine Myles Garrett Sets NFL Record and Holds Top DPOY Odds after Clinical Performance against Ravens!

It’s the same old story for the Cleveland Browns season after season. By this time of the year, the Browns are generally struggling to make it to the playoffs. This season is no different as Cleveland has been abysmal, especially on the offensive side of the ball.

However, one more thing has remained constant. Defensive end Myles Garrett continues to pour his heart out for the team, giving more than 100% every time he steps on the football field. The 2023 NFL Defensive Player of the Year is putting together another outstanding season, but despite his heroics, the Browns have fallen to 2-8, ending any glimmer of hope for the postseason.

Garrett’s Multi-Sack Game against the Ravens

On Sunday, the Cleveland Browns took the field against their bitter divisional rivals, the Baltimore Ravens. Despite the loss, though, the 29-year-old defender balled out yet again, keeping his team in contention single-handedly.

Garrett ended the game with 4 sacks to take his sack tally to 15 from just 10 games. It was his best performance of the season after his 5 sacks against the Patriots just a couple of weeks ago.

Garrett now has three games in which he has 2 or more sacks this season, and is currently on pace to finish this season with 25.5 sacks. That would be a new record as the current record is 22.5 sacks held by former Giant, Michael Strahan, and current Steeler, T.J. Watt.

Myles Garrett Surpasses Former Legend Lawrence Taylor

In the Week 11 game between the Browns and the Ravens, Garrett’s first sack of the game was his 12th of the season. That resulted in an NFL record as he became the first player in league history to record 12 or more sacks in 6 consecutive seasons.

Prior to the start of this season, Garrett had matched former NFL legend Lawrence Taylor, who had 5 consecutive seasons of 12 or more sacks. Drafted in 2017, Garrett recorded his first 12-sack season in 2020 and has kept up with the pace ever since.

In 2021, Garrett recorded 16 sacks, followed by another 16 in 2022, then 14 sacks in 2023 and 2024, and now has 15 already this season.

As per the latest NFL DPOY Odds sourced from FanDuel, Myles Garrett is currently -200 to win the 2025-26 NFL DPOY award at the end of the season. He leads all others after another impressive multi-sack showing against the Ravens.

Packers’ pass rusher, Micah Parsons, comes in next with +360 odds, while Aidan Hutchinson and Nik Bonitto round up the top 3 with +1200 odds. Garrett currently leads the league with 15 sacks on the season, and is followed by the Giants’ defender Brian Burns, who has 13, with Bonitto’s 9.5 occupying the third spot.
