Josh Allen Tears the Bucs with a 6-TD Game

On Sunday, the Buffalo Bills met the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in one of the more important games of Week 11. A closely contested game with the score reading 32-31 in favor of the Bucs just a couple of minutes inside the fourth quarter, turned on its head with Buffalo going on to score 13 unanswered points.

Josh Allen had a monstrous game as he took control both through the air and on the ground, finishing with 317 passing yards, 3 touchdowns, 2 interceptions, as well as 40 yards rushing and 3 touchdowns.

In doing so, Allen not only had 6 total touchdowns on the day, but he also holds the record for scoring the most touchdowns (288) by a player aged 30 or younger. He also became the first player to score 3 passing and 3 rushing touchdowns in a single game in the regular season. The 29-year-old continues to etch his name in the history books with stellar play through the air and along the ground.

Most Career Games with Multiple Passing and Rushing Touchdowns

After his 6-touchdown game against the Bucs on Sunday, Allen also found himself passing former NFL legends such as Tom Brady and Drew Brees for another record.

Sunday’s game marked the 10th time in his career that Allen threw for 3+ passing touchdowns and ran for 1+ rushing touchdowns, surpassing Brady and Brees, who each have 9 such games.

With the win, Buffalo now moves to 7-3 on the season, but remains 2 games behind division leaders, the New England Patriots, who are 9-2. The Bills will play the Texans next week.

As for the Bucs, Sunday’s loss means they slip to 6-4 on the year, but retain control of the NFC South ahead of the 6-5 Panthers. Tampa Bay will next face the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday Night Football (SNF) in Week 12.

I am a content writer for the NFL team, and joined The Playoffs after working with Sportskeeda and NFL Analysis as an NFL writer. After starting my professional career as a French-to-English translator, working as a content writer is a new adventure for me. I started out in the sports media field for two main reasons: my love for sports in general, especially the NFL, NBA, and Tennis, as well as my passion for writing. The best part of this job is that I get to write a variety of pieces with the freedom to explore content from various angles. It also enables me to stay up to date with the sporting world, which otherwise can be difficult to do in the day-to-day grind. In a world full of chaos, sports unite and entertain like nothing else!
