Draymond Green stepped away from the paint and walked directly toward a fan seated in the front row. What followed was a tense face‑to‑face exchange that required officials and arena staff to intervene, shifting attention away from the game and toward questions about fan behavior.

The fan was later identified as Sam Green of New Orleans. He admitted to chanting “Angel Reese” at the Warriors star, explaining that the reference was meant to highlight Draymond Green’s rebounding without shot attempts, comparing it to the LSU standout’s dominance on the boards.

According to Sam Green, the player responded with profanity and warned that he would “punch him out” if the taunts continued. “I wasn’t using profanity and for him to walk 12 feet off the court to come and get in my face like that, it was a little unnerving,” Sam Green told reporters.

Draymond Green Defends Reaction

Draymond Green later explained his reasoning for confronting the fan. He said the chants were persistent and personal, crossing a line beyond playful banter. “He just kept calling me a women”, said the Warriors star after the game.
