“He Honestly Has Like A LeBron Effect” NFL Analyst Had High Praises For Rams QB Matthew Stafford Comparing Him to NBA Legend

Eric Divakaran

The Los Angeles Rams are 7-2 for the season and are coming off a dominant performance against the San Francisco 49ers, beating them 42-26, with the help of their QB Matthew Stafford. The 49ers tried to make a comeback in the game but the game was already out of hand, as the Rams were leading by two touchdowns after the 1st quarter and were up 21-7 by halftime. The Rams finally got their redemption in this game, after losing their first outing earlier this season to the 49ers, in a heart breaking loss.

The Rams are on a four-game winning streak and have won each game with a very convincing margin. And with Matthew Stafford and Puka Nacua playing the way that they are, Los Angeles are a huge threat to beat the defending champions, Philadelphia Eagles, and possibly win it all.

Jason Cabinda Compared Matthew Stafford to LeBron James

NFL analyst Jason Cabinda recently compared Matthew Stafford to NBA Legend and the player for the L.A. Lakers, LeBron James, who is one of the greatest basketball players of all time. Cabinda compared Stafford’s leadership to LeBron’s, saying, he makes everyone around him better.

“He honestly has like a LeBron effect.” said Cabinda. “He’s one of those players, one of those quarterbacks, that makes everyone around him better. The way he places the ball and the way he’s like a coach on the field… There are very few times and situations where I’ve watched this team play where pre snap, Stafford doesn’t know what is going on, where he wants to go to with the football.”

“I think just having that as your base point and when you pair a guy like that with Sean McVay. I mean the results can be endless. He manages the game perfectly well, he puts the ball exactly where it’s supposed to be.”

Stafford is Having a Terrific Season

Stafford is having a great season in 2025-26, putting up 2,427 passing yards, 25 TDs, on only two interceptions, 67.1 pass completion percentage and a QB rating of 114.8 (career best). He’s already crossed 20 TDs mark that he put up last season and is doing it at a remarkable efficiency, barely throwing any picks. He has led the Rams to a 7-2 record, tied with Seahawks for the No.1 spot in NFC West and continues to dominate the competition he’s faced so far.

If Stafford can continue his terrific QB play, he can lead the Rams to yet another Super Bowl trophy, his second one with the Rams and overall.

I cover the National Football League and things cannot get better than that. I always dreamed to play football or basketball professionally since I’m built like a Running Back. But now that I can’t, since I’m technically in the “Unc” age, I thought why not pick a career in sports industry? So here I am, doing what I love, and hoping that the Commanders win the Super Bowl. I give love to players when it’s due, but can be critical about their performances at the same time. Enough about me, now let my articles do all the talking.
