OG Anunoby Injury Update: What Happened to OG Anunoby? Latest Update on Knicks Forward’s Injury Update

Garima Ranawat

OG Anunoby suffered a leg injury in the fourth quarter.

The New York Knicks recorded their second consecutive victory of the 2025-26 NBA regular season as they defeated the Boston Celtics 105-95. Star guard Jalen Brunson led the scoring charts with 31 points, three rebounds, and five assists, as all five starters finished in double-digit scores. However, the Knicks’ victory came at the cost an injury of star forward OG Anunoby.

Anunoby, who is in his third season with the Knicks, hurt his left leg, while aiming for a defensive rebound at the rim in the final quarter. With 5:15 left on the clock, the 2019 champion landed awkwardly on his left leg while trying to prevent Jaylen Brown from scoring. He was unable to put pressure on his left leg and was seen limping off the court, struggling to even sit down on the bench.

What is the Latest Update on OG Anunoby’s Injury?

After walking off the court, OG Anunoby was seen getting worked on by the New York Knicks’ training staff. He didn’t walk back to the locker room, which suggests that a significant injury was prevented. Later, he was seen pedaling on a stationary bike in the tunnel before joining his teammates on the sidelines. According to reports, he told the Knicks’ staff that he was okay, and he could have been able to go back to the game if needed.

According to Ian Begley, New York Knicks’ head coach Mike Brown said that the 28-year-old suffered a cramp in his left leg and there is nothing serious about his injury. It is to be noted that Anunoby was listed as probable for the game against the Boston Celtics on Friday with a minor ankle injury. However, his status was later upgraded to available, and recorded 10 points, two rebounds, and one assists before the injury finished his game early.
