NBA New Orleans Pelicans vs San Antonio Spurs Injury Report – Karlo Matkovic Questionable, De’Aaron Fox and Dejounte Murray Out

Eric Divakaran

The New Orleans Pelicans will host the San Antonio Spurs for their home opener, live from Smoothie King Center. The Pelicans are coming into this game after losing their first game against the Memphis Grizzlies, 128-122, in their first road game of the season. The Pels had 6 players in double digits in terms of scoring, and still lost because of their defense. Their superstar Zion Williamson looked better than he ever was, and managed to put up 27 points, 9 rebounds, and 5 assists, with their rookie Jeremiah Fears starting out with an impressive game, dropping 17 points in 18 minutes.

Meanwhile, the San Antonio Spurs are 1-0 to start the season, beating a tough Dallas Mavericks team on the road, with Victor Wembanyama dropping 40 points, grabbing 15 boards, and 4 stocks. The Spurs are looking scary this season and when their starting PG De’Aaron Fox and F Jeremy Sochan comes back, it is going to be a tall task to stop them. Wemby started out the season looking like a MVP frontrunner, and year 3 may be the year that he has a breakout season.

I cover the National Football League and things cannot get better than that. I always dreamed to play football or basketball professionally since I’m built like a Running Back. But now that I can’t, since I’m technically in the “Unc” age, I thought why not pick a career in sports industry? So here I am, doing what I love, and hoping that the Commanders win the Super Bowl. I give love to players when it’s due, but can be critical about their performances at the same time. Enough about me, now let my articles do all the talking.
