San Antonio Spurs Sign Micah Potter and NBA Champion Adam Flagler to Contracts

The Spurs added two more players to their roster by signing Potter and Flagler.

The San Antonio Spurs continued their sourcing and signed two players ahead of the 2025-26 NBA season. Over time, they have emerged as a team to find quality talent and a good staff. Recently, they added two more players to their roster by signing Micah Potter from the Utah Jazz and Adam Flagler from the Oklahoma City Thunder. The deals were reported by several sources including RealGM and Jeff Garcia of KENS 5 San Antonio.

According to Jeff Garcia, the Spurs have signed Adam Flagler for their training camp roster and he will be required to make the team’s final regular season roster. On the other hand, it has been reported that Potter might sign a non-guaranteed training camp contract, be it an Exhibit 9 or 10 deal. Talking about Flagler, he is coming to the Spurs after spending two seasons with the Oklahoma City Thunder on a two-way contract, and winning a championship.

He is eligible for a two-way contract, but could be in the mix for the 15th spot with the Spurs considering they have 14 regular season spots occupied, and all three of two-way contract spots filled. Talking about his campaign, while he was on the roster with the Thunder for the entire duration during the last season, he had a brief stint with them in the 2023-24 season. Overall, he played 39 games for the reigning champions, two in his first year, and 37 last season.

Talking about Micah Potter, he averaged 3.9 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 0.6 assists, playing in just over 15 minutes a night. In his most recent season with the Jazz, Potter played in 38 total games and averaged a career-best 4.3 points. He was also a part of the USA Men’s Select Team preparing for the 2024 Paris Olympics.

San Antonio Spurs’ Current Roster

As mentioned, Victor Wembanyama’s side has 14 of their standard roster spots as well as all of their three two-way contract spots filled. Here is the complete Spurs’ roster-

Guards De’Aaron Fox, Stephon Castle, Dylan Harper, Devin Vassell, Jordan McLaughlin, and Lindy Waters III, forwards Harrison Barnes, Jeremy Sochan, Carter Bryant, Keldon Johnson, and Julian Champagnie, and centers Victor Wembanyama, Luke Kornet, and Kelly Olynyk. Their two-way spots are filled by Harrison Ingram, Riley Minix, and David Jones Garcia.

Since they have one more spot left to fill ahead of the 2024-25 season, they might want to keep it open. Both are promising players who would prove to be a good addition to the roster as the Spurs aim for a better season, as compared to their previous campaign where they finished in the 13th spot with a 34-48 tally.
