NBA Announces Jalen Williams Punishment For Wearing Clothing with Profane Language

Williams scored 24 points, five rebounds and seven assists in Game 7.

Ahead of Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals on Tuesday night, the NBA made an announcement for the Thunder star Jalen Williams. The Oklahoma City Thunder recently beat Denver Nuggets in Game 7 after their dominant 32-point victory to clinch the semifinal playoff series.

During the post-game conference, Jalen Williams’ clothing pushed the league take strong action as they considered it “profane language.” The NBA announced that Williams has been fined $25,000 for wearing clothing with profane language in his postgame media session on Sunday.

Jalen Williams Faces $25,000 Fine for Wearing a Shirt with Profane Language

Jalen Williams was delighted after his team’s 125-93 win over the Nuggets in Game 7 of the West semifinals on Sunday. During the post-game media session, he was wearing a shirt that said “F*uck art, let’s dance.” The league considered it a ‘profane language’ and handed over him a $25,000 Fine.

It was an unfortunate experience for Williams, who had a wrong choice of picking a shirt after Game 7. The words written on the shirt had profane language and it cost him a decent fine. The Thunder forward will pay the fine and get ready for the Western Conference Finals.

Williams had a stunning night in Oklahoma City on Sunday as the Thunder star scored 24 points, five rebounds and seven assists in Game 7.
