“WWE writes a great script” – Knicks star Josh Hart Makes Prediction After Tyrese Haliburton and Jalen Brunson’s WWE Footage Goes Viral

The New York Knicks and the Indiana Pacers will lock horns in highly-anticipated clash of the NBA Eastern Conference Finals on Wednesday. Ahead of the series, social media was going crazy over an old footage when Indiana’s Tyrese Haliburton and New York’s Jalen Brunson faced off on “WWE SmackDown.”

Haliburton and Brunson were invited in a Triple Threat Match between Logan Paul, LA Knight, and Santos Escobar. LA Knight was getting support form Brunson and Logan Paul was supported by Haliburton. Brunson was even brandishing a chair and he exchanged some words with his NBA rival.

Josh Hart Gets Honest on Haliburton-Brunson WWE Footage Ahead of Knicks-Pacers ECF Showdown

During the press conference, the Knicks forward, Josh Hart was asked about the viral footage of Brunson and Haliburton. The 30-year-old forward makes a prediction that a lot of NBA stars will try to get on WWE this summer.

“WWE writes a great script. There’s gonna be a lot of guys trying to get on WWE this summer,” Hart said. “[Brunson and Haliburton are] two of the best point guards, not just in the East but in the league. They have different playing styles…It’s gonna be a back-and-forth matchup, a chess game, both guys are extremely talented…I’m looking forward to that.”

Tyrese Haliburton has been an active player on WWE. After Triple Threat Match appearance with Jalen Brunson, he went on “WWE NXT,” taking part in a contract signing between Trick Williams and Ethan Page ahead of their October 1 NXT Title match. Haliburton was also enjoying the 2025 Royal Rumble.

Josh Hart was instrumental in the Knicks’ series-clinching victory against the Celtics. The forward scored a triple-double in Game 6 to lead New York to first Eastern Conference Finals since 2000. This match already got a huge hype and the ticket rates are higher than the western conference finals. The matchup between Haliburton and Brunson will surely add drama in the high-voltage series.
