Real Madrid announced some major changes on their managerial front last week. Xabi Alonso, who will take over before the Club World Cup, is expected to make changes on the defensive end. With centre-back issues and having to fill in the voids, the Spanish manager is already said to have a few players scouted.

Alonso has been scouting the AFC Bournemouth defender Dein Huijsen to fill the voids at the defensive end. The Spanish defender has impressed several clubs, including Real Madrid. Following an impressive season under Andoni Iraola, Huijsen led the Cherries to the 10th position.

Negotiations Progress with Real Madrid as Premier League Clubs Wait in the Wings

In the latest on transfer rumours of Huijsen, Journalist Fabrizio Romano has dropped major hints on the defender’s latest transfer update. According to the report, Real Madrid has initiated talks with AFC Bournemouth for securing the talents of Huijsen.

Romano, providing updates in his report, mentioned the competitors from England who have also inquired about Huijsen, as he quoted:

“Real Madrid has sent a formal go contract proposal to Dean Huijsen today! Negotiations continue with Real Madrid while Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool remain ready to enter the race in case of complications; they’re open to paying the clause. Real Madrid remains the players’ priority, so deal with it.”

With defenders like David Alaba and Eder Militao being sidelined for most of the season, he will head towards some talents to take up the stages in Madrid.

Huijsen could cost around €65 million for Real Madrid, judging from his transfer prices.
