Alex Reese
Alex Reese, born on May 21, 1999, in Pelham, Alabama, is an American professional basketball player. He is the son of Brian and Rebakah Reese and has two siblings. His uncle, Quinton Reese, played football at Auburn University and was drafted by the Detroit Lions in 2000. Reese majored in psychology during his college years. Reese played college basketball for the Alabama Crimson Tide from 2017 to 2021. During his four-year career, he appeared in 124 games, starting in 36 of them. He averaged 5.4 points and 3.1 rebounds as a senior. Throughout his entire college career, he recorded 755 points, 412 rebounds, and 65 blocks. He was also recognized on the SEC Academic Honor Roll in 2018 and 2019. After concluding his college career, Alex Reese went undrafted in the 2021 NBA draft. After that, he spent a year away from basketball, working as a bartender and moving furniture. In 2022, he resumed his professional basketball career by signing with Amicale Steesel of the Luxembourg Basketball League on July 26, 2022. In 27 games with the team, he averaged 23.7 points, 12.9 rebounds, 1.4 assists, 1.0 steals, and 1.5 blocks in 33.1 minutes. He later played for the Philadelphia 76ers of the National Basketball Association (NBA) on a two-way contract with the Delaware Blue Coats of the NBA G League. He is currently in free agent status. Alex Reese is 2.06 meters tall and weighs 111 kg. He plays as a power forward or center.
