Lester Quinones
Lester Quiñones, born on November 16, 2000, in Brentwood, New York, is a Dominican-American professional basketball player. His personal information includes being 1.93 m tall and weighing 94 kg. He is a shooting guard and shoots right-handed. Quiñones’ high school career led him to attend several institutions. He started in Brentwood, New York, then transferred to Upper Room Christian School in Dix Hills, New York, for his junior year, where he averaged 19.3 points per game and was named to the 2017 Long Island Basketball honor roll. For his senior season, he moved to St. Benedict’s Preparatory School in Newark, New Jersey. Before college, he played a postgraduate season at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, averaging 24 points, nine rebounds, and six assists per game, with 38% accuracy from three-point range. He finished his high school and postgraduate career as a consensus four-star recruit. For his college career, Quiñones committed to play college basketball for the Memphis Tigers under coach Penny Hardaway on May 10, 2019, after considering Indiana. He played for Memphis from 2019 to 2022. As a freshman in the 2019-2020 season, he averaged 10.7 points and 3.8 rebounds in 26 games, starting 23 of them and the last 16. He was named to the American Athletic Conference All-Freshman Team. He missed five games due to a hand injury suffered against Ole Miss. Throughout his college career at Memphis, he consistently started a large number of games, with 23 in 2019-20, 28 in 2020-21, and 30 in 2021-22, playing in 87 games in total. He helped his team become NIT champions in 2021. After his junior season, he announced his intention to enter the NBA draft. Quiñones went undrafted in the 2022 NBA draft. Despite this, he began his professional career in 2022. On July 5, 2022, he signed a two-way contract with the Golden State Warriors. His professional career history includes playing for the Golden State Warriors and their G League affiliate, the Santa Cruz Warriors (2022-2024). He then moved to the Philadelphia 76ers and the Delaware Blue Coats in 2024. For the 2024-2025 season, he played for the Birmingham Squadron and the New Orleans Pelicans, and in 2025, he joined the Orlando Magic. His career highlights include being named NBA G League Most Improved Player and to the NBA G League All-Rookie Team in 2023, in addition to his AAC All-Freshman team honor in 2020 and the NIT championship in 2021. At the end of 2025, he is listed as a free agent.
