Cory Joseph is a Canadian professional basketball player. He was born on August 20, 1991, in Toronto, Ontario, and grew up in Pickering, Ontario. Joseph comes from an athletic family; both of his parents played basketball. His father, David Joseph, played college basketball at Union College and then professionally in the British Basketball League, while his mother, Connie Joseph, played at McMaster University. His older brother, Devoe Joseph, also played college basketball and professionally overseas.
College Career: Cory Joseph attended Findlay Prep in Henderson, Nevada, for high school, where he was a highly coveted prospect. He then committed to play college basketball at the University of Texas at Austin, joining the Longhorns for the 2010-2011 season. During his freshman year, he played alongside future NBA players Tristan Thompson and Jordan Hamilton. Joseph averaged 10.4 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 3.0 assists per game in his lone season at Texas.
