The Houston Rockets have forced the Golden State Warriors into game six after a blowout victory on Wednesday. Golden State still has an advantage going into the Warriors vs. Rockets fixture on Friday, as they lead the series with 3-2 and a home court advantage.

Steve Kerr’s Warriors had one of their worst outings of the series in Game 5. Their starters barely had any impact and couldn’t find any rhythm going forward. While on the other side, Rockets were hitting with an unusual accuracy, ballooning the lead like never seen in the Warriors vs. Rockets playoffs series.

For the first time in NBA history, Golden State Warriors’ starters registered less than 50 points. Going by the trend, Steve Kerr pulled away his starters by the third quarter. Houston Rockets Preview

The home side had an extraordinary game as the accuracy of their starters’ was top-notch. A day when everything goes right and clicks. Fred VanVleet scored 26 points with accuracy of 4-6 from beyond the arc. Even Amen Thompson has been underperforming, scoring 25 points with a 8-12 FG accuracy. Houston Rockets dominated Game 5 with a 131-116 victory.

The Golden State Warriors have not reported any injury after game 5 on Wednesday. However, the pictures of Steph Curry’s extremely sore thumb have gone viral. This suggests that Curry is not ideally 100 percent fit but is still expected to play the all important game 6. Jonathan Kuminga who was out with illness on Wednesday will return to action for game 6.

Houston Rockets

Jock Landale is out with a knee injury and has been ruled out of the game 6 against the Golden State Warriors. Jae’Sean Tate is out due to an ankle injury, and he is not expected to be back before next season. His rehabilitation timeline remains unavailable.
