NBA Playoffs 2025- Golden State Warriors Push Houston Rockets to the Edge of Elimination With a 109–106 Win in Game 4

The Golden State Warriors pushed the Houston Rockets on the brink of elimination after securing a 109-106 win in Game 4 of the NBA Playoffs 2025. The Dubs are now leading the series 3-1, and the Rockets are on the verge of being kicked out of the playoffs by them for the fifth time in their last seven appearances.

The clash was filled with tension, resulting in multiple technical fouls as well as a flagrant foul. Draymond Green found himself in hot waters, and narrowly avoided ejection after being assessed with one flagrant, one technical and three personal fouls. Despite the heated scenes at Chase Center, the game saw Jimmy Butler making a sound comeback and leading the side to a remarkable win, solidifying chances of qualification for the Western Conference Semifinals.

Jimmy Butler Leads Dubs In His Return After Pelvic Injury

Butler, playing his first playoffs with the Dubs, missed Game 3 after suffering a pelvic and deep gluteal contusion in Game 2 of the series. He was listed as questionable in the official injury report, but was later upgraded before the game. The 35-year-old ensured to make a mark for himself and came up with a leading performance of 27 points, five rebounds, and six assists.

Brandin Podziemski, recorded his first career 20-point performance, and dropped 26 points, five rebounds, and five assists. However, superstar Stephen Curry had a low-scoring game. The NBA’s Twyman Stokes Teammate of the Year tallied 17 points, three rebounds, and three assists.

On the other hand, the Rockets, who were leading the first half 57-50, fell flat after the break and ended up scoring 23 points in the third quarter and 26 in the fourth. Alperen Sengun poured in 31 points, 10 rebounds, and five assists, but his effort fell short. Fred VanVleet scored 25 points, two rebounds, and six assists while Amen Thompson scored 17 points, nine rebounds, and two assists.

With their hopes of playoffs survival hanging by a thread, the Rockets would take on their seventh-seeded counterparts on Wednesday, April 30, for Game 5.
