The Knicks are leading the first-round playoff series against the Pistons 2-1.
The Detroit Pistons are set to host the New York Knicks for Game 4 of the first-round NBA Playoffs 2025 series on Sunday, April 27. The Knicks opened the series with a commanding 123-112 win over the Pistons to secure a 1-0 lead. While they were aiming to continue their momentum, the Pistons, powered by Cade Cunningham’s 33 points, 12 rebounds, and three assists, bounced back and took down the Knicks 100-94 to even out the series.
For Game 3, action moved to Little Caesars Arena in Detroit. However, the Pistons failed to secure a home court advantage. The Knicks, powered by Karl-Anthony Towns’ 31 points, eight rebounds, and one assist, extended their lead and got the upper hand. Both teams are scheduled to meet on Sunday for Game 4, where the Knicks would eye bridging the gap between the Pistons and the lead. On the other hand, the home team would want to level the series to grab an opportunity to advance to the semifinals.
As action between the Knicks and the Pistons is getting intense, let’s see which players could potentially be sitting out with injuries.
