The Duke Blue Devils sensation Cooper Flagg is projected to be the overall first pick in 2025 NBA Drafts.
The 2024-25 regular season came to an end on Sunday, and while the best teams are still fighting for the ultimate title, the worst-performing teams have set their sights on the 2025 NBA Draft. The Duke Blue Devils sensation Cooper Flagg is projected to be the overall first pick, and needless to say, the worst-performing 14 teams would want to draft him.
Flagg wreaked havoc in the 2024-25 season, and while Blue Devils failed to make it past Houston in Final Four, the basketball prodigy has made enough name for himself. One of the few players to have been named ACC Player of the Year and ACC Rookie of the Year in the same season, Flagg led the Blue Devils to the ACC Regular Season title with a 19-1 record in conference play.
Flagg finished the season averaging 19.2 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 4.2 assists per game. He is a dogged defender, and averages 1.4 steals and 1.4 blocks per game this season. Teams including the Utah Jazz and the Washington Wizards that finished with the worst record this season would want to sign him.
The Hornets, Jazz and Wizards have clinched the top odds to potentially land Cooper Flagg with the No. 1 overall pick.

Regardless, all 14 teams will participate in the 2025 NBA Draft Lottery in May, and would want it to work in their favor. While the odds for the ten teams that have missed the postseason entirely have been locked, the final order will be determined once the last four playoff teams will be known. Those teams will receive picks from 11-14. If there is a tie in the bracket, it will be broken via a random drawing held before the lottery.
