The Orlando Magic will enter the affair after a 15-point loss against the Washington Wizards as Paolo Banchero amassed 30 points. They are 3-3 over their last six games, but are 5-9 since the third week of February, unable to win two in a row for a month or so. The season-ending injury to Jaden Ivey has broken their back completely and they arguably have the worst back-court in the league without him. As a result, they have tallied the league-worst 104.8 points per game, making the least threes per game(10.9) on the worst clip (31.1% FG). They field the best defense, conceding just 106.1 PPG(Last), but their horrible offense has held them back immensely.

The Los Angeles Lakers will come into this game after an embarrassing 31-point loss against the Chicago Bulls despite a 34-point outburst by Luka Doncic. They have lost two in a row and are 3-6 after a fruitful 20-4 period. The losing spell coincided with LeBron James’ groin injury and coach JJ Redick’s load-managing Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves. But Rui Hachimura’s return will bolster the team on both ends as the core will look for a final big push. The duo of LBJ and Doncic has looked as good as speculated but the lack of depth around them can really hurt them. The loss against the Bulls was a big example of that, but the team has the potential to make a deep postseason run.

The Lakers have a robust offense with three elite shot-creators in Doncic, James, and Reaves, and are always in the mix for a 120+ points effort, but the same can’t be said about the Magic. Defensively, both teams are on a similar level but the Magic have been slightly more consistent. But I expect LA to lock in after the Bulls debacle which can lead to a low-scoring game in the early 210s.

Franz Wagner to grab over 6.5 rebounds: The Magic Wing has clasped 5.9 rebounds per game in March, but has gone above the 5.5 mark six times. I expect him to breach the mark here too.

Luka Doncic to grab over 9.5 rebounds: The Lakers PG has clasped 8.8 rebounds per game in a month. He has grabbed 9 or more boards in four of the last six games. I believe he will be in the 10-13 range.

LeBron James to commit over 4.5 turnovers: The Lakers superstar returned after two weeks against the Bulls and committed 5 turnovers. He can cough up the ball 4-6 times here too.

The Lakers will be desperate to leave their Bulls’ error behind them. Meanwhile, the Magic also need a huge boost to snatch the seventh spot away from the Hawks. LA will enter as the favorites, and they have the guard depth to outlast the home. On the flip side, the Magic has the duo of Wagner and Banchero, but that can be negated by LBJ. Overall, I favor the Lakers to win by at least 3 points and see a close game
