NBA Daily Recap – October 31, 2024: Bucks’ horror run continues, Rockets snap Mavericks’ winning streak

A night to forget for Bucks and Jazz.

Another day, another set of exciting NBA matchups. Thursday night delivered a mix of disappointing individual performances, comeback victories, and surprising upsets.

Let’s take a look at what happened in other key games from around the league on October 31st.

Bucks 99, Grizzlies 122

Milwaukee Bucks’ horror run in the new NBA season continued as they were blown away by The Memphis Grizzlies. Ja Morant led the Grizzlies’ dominance, finishing with 26 points, 10 rebounds, and 14 assists.

Meanwhile, Giannis Antetokounmpo was pretty good, with 37 points, 11 rebounds, and four assists, but didn’t receive much support from the rest of the team as they suffered their fourth loss in five games.

Rockets 108, Mavericks 102

Dallas Mavericks’ two-match winning streak was snapped on Thursday after they suffered a narrow defeat against the Houston Rockets at home.

At one stage, it looked like an easy win for the Rockets as the hosts were down by as many as 23 points late in the game, but Luka Doncic’s late charge took the game close. In the end, however, Houston’s offense managed to hold steady and secure the win.

He also had a 5×5 game in a loss to the  Los Angeles Lakers on Feb. 23.

Suns 125, Clippers 119

The Phoenix Suns staged a remarkable comeback against the Los Angeles Clippers, overcoming a 21-point deficit to secure a thrilling victory. Devin Booker led the charge for the Suns, scoring 40 points to end the night.

The Suns are now 4-1 on the season and are 2-0 against the Clippers after also defeating them in their regular season opener.
