Jalen Brunson suffered an ankle injury in OT against the Los Angeles Lakers.
The New York Knicks (42-24) have been struggling without Jalen Brunson. Two wins in the last four games, which includes a one-point victory over the Portland Trail Blazers. The Knicks displayed a strong performance against the Warriors but suffered a three-point loss.
However, the Knicks have an easy schedule for the next five games, playing five teams under .500. The Knicks only face two over .500 teams until the end of March. Prior to his injury, Brunson was averaging 26.3 points, 3.0 rebounds, career-high 7.4 assists per game and one steals per game. The Knicks point guard also made his second All-Star appearance of his career at the 2025 All-Star game.

According to the latest updates, Jalen Brunson is sidelined until late March/early April with ankle injury. The Knicks currently sit comfortably in a guaranteed playoff spot and would want their superstar to recover 100% before rushing him.

Jalen Brunson was also the favorite to win the NBA Clutch Player of the Year. Prior to his injury, The two-time All-Star led the league in clutch points and was top-three in assists per game. The Knicks will miss when the going gets tough but would want him to recover 100% for the NBA Playoffs.
