According to ESPN, Roberts has confirmed that Ohtani will play on Monday in New York and that the player is “in a great spot”.

“He’s in a great spot. He’s playing tomorrow,” Dodgers manager Dave Roberts reportedly told ESPN’s Karl Ravech via text.

The injury occurred in the seventh inning when Ohtani slid into second base and landed awkwardly on his left wrist. The incident left fans and players concerned, as Ohtani has been a dominant force for the Angels this season.

Walker Buehler to take the mound for Game 3

Dodgers are leading the World Series 2-0 as they head to New York for Game 3. Jack Flaherty and Yoshinobu Yamamoto were the starting pitchers for the first two games. For Game 3, the Dodgers have announced that Walker Buehler will take the mound.

The right-hander has started two games this postseason, posting 6 runs given up in nine innings pitched.

The decision to start Buehler in Game 3 will make him available to pitch a potential Game 7 against the Yankees, if necessary, the Dodgers said.
