Are Timberwolves in the right direction?
The Timberwolves come into this game after suffering a 2-point loss against the league’s worst Washington Wizards without their top two scorers Anthony Edwards and Julius Randle. The loss broke a five-game winning streak and underlined the importance of Edwards to the squad. However, Randle may be absent long-term whereas Donte DiVincenzo has also been missing from action since mid-January. Overall, their defense has been consistent but their offense has also found some life lately but will be tested against high-quality teams now.
The Kings have lost the plot again
The Kings enter the affair after a 34-point defeat against the Oklahoma City Thunder in another disappointing defensive performance. They have lost two in a row and four of their last five matches undermining their 10-1 stretch around mid-January. De’Aaron Fox’s name is floating in the trade rumors which came into fruition just some hours ago, bringing fluctuations to their team chemistry. But on the positive side, Malik Monk is having the best season of his career while center Domantas Sabonis is having another brilliant all-around season. Overall, the Kings need to move on from the Fox era and build around their two other star-level players.

The Timberwolves are short-handed but the Kings’ internal atmosphere has taken the steam out of their campaign. Thus, the Wolves will be hungry to hunt the vulnerable away team and hope that Anthony Edwards is available for the game. At any rate, I’d back the Wolves by 6-9 points to win here with the total going past 237 points.

nba Hi, I am Shubham. I am currently an NBA Predictions Writer on The Playoffs. I enjoy this job because it helps keep me in the loop about the game I love while fulfilling the pleasure I derive from stats. I got into NBA writing through social media interactions in the mid-2010s as I shared my takes on young talents such as D’Angelo Russell. I hope you enjoy reading my pieces as much as Dennis Rodman loved rebounding the basketball!
