The Kansas City Chiefs are one of the most dominant franchises in recent history. They are right up there with the New England Patriots and the Pittsburgh Steelers. Ever since the arrival of Patrick Mahomes, the Chiefs have only done one thing and that’s winning. Under Mahomes the Chiefs are 89-23 and Mahomes himself has won 79.5 percent of the games he’s played.

Since 2018, The Chiefs have been to the playoffs 7 times consecutively and have won multiple Superbowls, Conference championships, and have many players who have been selected to the Pro-Bowl multiple times. There are multiple reasons why they have remained successful and one of the many reasons why is the brilliant coaching and offensive mind of Andy Reid. Every season, the plays he calls has been innovative and he knows how to read and navigate through any defense thrown at him.

The Chiefs have made the playoffs 27 times out of 64 total season and 54 playing in the NFL. They had played in 46 playoff games so far and have an overall record of 25-21. They have played in the wild card round 13 times and are 5-8 all time. Whereas in the Divisional round, the Chiefs have played in 17 games and are 9-8.

In 1969 and 1966, the Chiefs won the Conference championships defeating the Oakland Raider and the Bills respectively.

The Chiefs have won the AFC Conference Championship 6 times but have lost 3. Mahomes alone, has racked up 4 wins in the conference championships and the other two wins came back in 1969 and 1966.

The Chiefs are yet again headed to the AFC Conference Championship round and this time, they will face the Buffalo Bills who they defeated back in 2020.
