Ricky Pearsall back to practice for the first time since being shot

Call it a miracle but seeing Ricky Pearsall in pads just 44 days after being shot in the chest is no more than that.

For the first time since being shot in the chest, Ricky Pearsall was back at practice with the San Francisco 49ers.

Ricky Pearsall almost lost his life after a 17 year-old tried to rob him and resulting into a struggle between the two. Hopefully, the bullet went through his chest, missing all vital organs opening the way to a full and speed recovery.

On Friday, Kyle Shanahan announced that the 21-day practice window would be opened for Pearsall. They made it official on Monday just before 1:30 p.m. PT.

For the first time since August 29, Ricky Pearsall will be able to be back with his teammates giving a proper boost to a team still looking for a spark in this 2024 season.

When will Ricky Pearsall be able to play again ?

There is still a long way to go for him but the first box has been ticked.

Now the 49ers have 3 weeks to activate him and make the corresponding roster move on the roster to keep him. Otherwise, he will go back to the Non-Football Injury List.

Considering the 49ers are on a bye-week in week 9 of the NFL regular season, Ricky Pearsall could make his debut in Week 10 against the Buccaneers on November 10th.

The San Francisco 49ers have always expressed their will to not rush Pearsall return on the field since getting place on Non-Football Injury list (NFI) on September 2nd.
