The undefeated Utah Hockey Club could find the back of the net against Jake Allen
New-Jersey Devils’ new goaltender, Jake Allen recorded his first shutout game as a member of the team. With 20 saves against the Utah Hockey club, Allen helped the Devils shutout the undefeated Utah’s teams.
This game was his first shutout since 2023 when he was playing for the Montreal canadiens. He then saved 23 shoots against the Chicago Blackhawks on Feb. 14, 2023.
The Utah Hockey club started pretty well their season with three wins in a row and 16 goals in 3 games. But this powerfull offense failed to find the net against an impressive Jake Allen.
After the game, Jake Allen had some nice words towards his teamates to whom he gave all teh credit for his performance :
“I mean, the win is the important part, and the shutout is a bonus for me at this point my career,” Allen said via NHL.com. “Honestly, the guys made it pretty easy on me for the most part. I made a couple tough saves, but they did a great job.”
With just 1.80 GA/G, the Devils already stands at the 6th position for the best defense in NHL this season.
No rest for the Devils : they will travel tonight to Raleigh, NC to take on the Carolina Hurricanes.
The game will take place oN ESPN+ and Bally Sports Network at 7 pm ET.
The Carolina Hurricanes will try to bounce back from a rocky start of their season at home.
