Bryce Young will have to wait at least one more week
Despite some serious mistakes during Carolina Panther’s loss against the Atlanta Falcons, Andy Dalton still got David Canales’ trust.
After Panthers’ 3rd straight loss with Dalton under center, David Canales has been really clear about who’s going to start against the COmmanders next week :
“Andy will be playing against the Commanders,” Canales declared without hesitation
David Canales added also that he has no plans to bring back former 1st overall pick, Bryce Young on the field.
During last night’s loss, Dalton completed 26 of 38 passes for 221 yards, throwing two touchdown passes in the first half and two interceptions in the second half.
Even with some glimpses of good offenses, Andy Dalton choices appeared sometimes to be detrimental to the team. But since, Adam Thielen has been ruled out with an hamstring injury, the Panthers can’t keep up the rythm on offense.
On the offensive side of the ball, Panthers have gotten better since Andy Dalton got under center with 22.5 per game while Bryce Young managed just 6.5 points per game.
But even though offense got better, the defense isn’t better.
Carolina has allowed an average of 33.8 points per game, ranking as the ninth highest in the Super Bowl era.
Now the Panthers are 1-5 but the problem is probably not the quarterback but the defense.
The Panthers will take on the Commanders in Week 7, next Sunday October 20 on CBS.
