Chicago Bulls vs New Orleans Pelicans Preview

The Bulls are inconsistent

The Bulls haven’t been an impressive squad thus far. They have five wins in the last eight games, and an easy schedule can help them get to a 50% win percentage. However, they need to be more assertive against winning teams as indicated by their 9-15 record against teams with a +.500 win ratio. At any rate, Zach LaVine has been outstanding offensively enabling the squad to tally 118.2 points a game, the fourth-best mark in the league. However, they are terrible on the defensive end, conceding 120.8 points a game, the second-worst effort.

The Pelicans need to rethink their core

The Pels are under duress. Zion Williamson keeps missing games due to injuries while the absence of Brandon Ingram has dented their hopes further. The backcourt of Dejounte Murray and CJ McCollum has done its job but lacks the frontline support. Thus, they have been abysmal on both ends of the floor. They have given up 117.2 points a game(sixth worst) while scoring just 107.2 points a game(fifth worst).

Chicago Bulls vs New Orleans Pelicans– Final Prediction and Additional Information

The Bulls are one of the best offensive teams in the league whereas the Pelicans defense has given plenty of opportunities on the scoring end. However, the Pels did show some fight on the offensive end, thanks to largely Trey Murphy III. The lax Bulls’ defense will also make way for many scoring chances. Thus, we can be in for a high-scorer with the Bulls probably winning by 15+ points and the total going north of 240 points.

Hi, I am Shubham. I am currently an NBA Predictions Writer on The Playoffs. I enjoy this job because it helps keep me in the loop about the game I love while fulfilling the pleasure I derive from stats. I got into NBA writing through social media interactions in the mid-2010s as I shared my takes on young talents such as D’Angelo Russell. I hope you enjoy reading my pieces as much as Dennis Rodman loved rebounding the basketball!
