The Lakers are shifting focus to youth development as they gear up for the 2025 Summer League. While the main roster rests in the offseason, the Lakers’ front office remains in full swing preparing for Summer League evaluations.

The Summer League serves as a key evaluation window for coaches to assess rookies, G League talent, and unsigned prospects. Held every July, the Summer League lets rookies experience the NBA’s pace, spacing, and physicality firsthand.

It’s also a chance for second-year players, G League standouts, and unsigned free agents to prove their value in real-time action. The Lakers have a busy Summer League slate lined up, including headline matchups fans are already buzzing about.
