2025 NFL Week 8 MNF Chiefs vs Commanders Player Props and Parlays

The Kansas City Chiefs (4-3) host the Washington Commanders (3-4) in a Week 8 Monday Night Football clash at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium, kicking off at 8:15 p.m. ET on ESPN/ABC. Patrick Mahomes leads a surging Chiefs offense averaging 31.5 points over their last five games, bolstered by Rashee Rice’s return from suspension and weapons like Xavier Worthy and Travis Kelce. This Chiefs vs Commanders game should involve the Chiefs willing their way through a injured Washington squad.

Washington’s Jayden Daniels is sidelined by hamstring injury, thrusting Marcus Mariota into action against KC’s fourth-ranked pass defense. The Commanders, reeling from two straight losses, lean on the run with Brian Robinson Jr. amid secondary woes.

Rashee Rice is a threat to score at any time, as he scored two TDs in his debut game against the Las Vegas Raiders and similarly, the Commanders 25th ranked pass defense and 21st ranked scoring defense, may allow Rice to get a TD or two in this game.

Patrick Mahomes has had multiple games above 220 passing yards and the Chiefs have continued to rely on their QB’s arm to make plays. Looking at the Commanders’ weak pass defense, Mahomes may cross the 300 mark again in this game, as in the last three games he has 318, 257, and 286 passing yards.

Marcus Mariota has started in two games so far and recorded 207 yards in his very first start. The Commanders are playing without their QB1 in Jayden Daniels, but they do have their receiver Terry McLaurin back in the lineup. With their receivers healthy, Mariota may try to get them the ball as much as possible, with him crossing at 200 yards again.

Rashee Rice could record a 30+ yard reception looking at the Chiefs’ dynamic passing offense ranking 6th, and the Commanders’ weak defense, a 30+ yard reception is very possible. While his 2025 season debut against the Raiders featured shorter, high volume receptions, his 2023 rookie season showed his big-play ability with a long reception of 67 yards. This history, combined with his recent return from suspension suggests he is capable of making big plays.

Chiefs vs Commanders Best Player Props

Here are some of the best player props for this week’s MNF game between the Chiefs and the Commanders, as per FanDuel

Isiah Pacheco 60+ rushing yards: +152
Jacory Croskey-Merritt 60+ rushing yards: +162
Patrick Mahomes Over 2.5 TDs: +120

The Chiefs rank 12th in rushing offense, having scored 8 TDs with the run so far. Meanwhile the Commanders rank 20th in rushing defense and looking at the Chiefs’ aerial threat with Worthy and Rice in the lineup, the Commanders could be vulnerable against the run, allowing Pacheco to gain 60+ rushing yards or more.

Jacory Croskey-Merritt should be able to get 60+ rushing yards as the Chiefs’ rushing defense has been inconsistent and vulnerable at times, allowing 6 TDs so far. The Commanders rank 2nd in rushing offense this season and have scored 9 TDs through the run. With Jayden Daniels out for the game, we may see the Commanders rely on Croskey-Merritt more, letting him gain 60+ rush yards or more.

Patrick Mahomes against weak pass defense has scored 3 or more TDs this season, including the game against the Bills where he had 4 TDs, the Lions where he scored 3 TDs, and against the Raiders last week where he scored 3 TDs.
