Countdown begins for Thunder vs. Timberwolves Showdown!
The Oklahoma City Thunder and Minnesota Timberwolves will engage in a highly-anticipated 7-game Western Conference Finals series. The winner of the series will advance to the NBA Finals and will clash against the winner of the Eastern Conference Finals for the ultimate Larry O’Brien Trophy.
The Thunder have made it to their first Conference Finals since 2016, while it is the second consecutive and third overall appearance for the Timberwolves. Oklahoma City has won one NBA title so far, in 1979 as Seattle SuperSonics, but the Wolves are trophy-less so far. Now that they are just eight wins away from the Larry O’Brien Trophy, both would aim to put on their best show and end the series in their favor.
Talking about their campaigns so far, the Thunder, who ended the regular season as table toppers, defeated Memphis Grizzlies and Denver Nuggets to make it to Round 3. On the other hand, their rivals pulled off upsets over the LA Lakers and Golden State Warriors to finish in the top four for the season. Since Oklahoma City is highly-likely to come on top but also how the Timberwolves will give them a tough fight, considering their run so far, the forthcoming series is expected to be everything entertainment.
