The Indiana Pacers will take one the Oklahoma City Thunder for the Pacers’ home opener, live from Gainbridge Fieldhouse, home of the Pacers. The Pacers are coming into this season with expectations held high even though they do not have Tyrese Haliburton currently as he’s rehabbing his Achilles injury, which he suffered during Game 7 of the 2024-25 NBA Finals. We expect their young core like Andrew Nembhard and Bennedict Mathurin to take huge leap this season, as they also lost their center Myles Turner in the offseason, as he was traded to the Milwaukee Bucks.
Meanwhile for the Oklahoma City Thunder, they have already started their 2025-26 campaign with a 1-0 start, after defeating the Kevin Durant led Houston Rockets in double overtime. Shai Gilgeous Alexander dropped 35 points, while Chet Holmgren contributed 28 to led the Thunder past the Rockets. They do not look like they’ve lost a step from the NBA Finals run last season, and are a threat to repeat as champions this season.
Here are a couple of same-game parlays for the game between the Indiana Pacers and the Oklahoma City Thunder as per FanDuel.
Parlay Payout: Wager $100 to win $3480.22
The Thunder’s offense starts with Gilgeous Alexander, and he will be the best player on the court for the during the matchup against the Pacers. Since Andrew Nembhard is the Pacers’ starting point guard for now, we expect Shai to pull up for a mid range jumper immediately to put the first points on the board.
SGA dropped 35 points against the Houston Rockets, to open the season. He dropped 35 or more points against the Indiana Pacers, in 3 of 7 games in the Finals last season. Shai has looked extremely comfortable dropping huge points against the Pacers so far, and with Jaylen Williams still dealing with his wrist surgery, we expect SGA to handle most of the scoring duties.
In the last three seasons, playing for the Pacers, Nesmith has averaged at least 4.3 or more 3-pt attempts averages, and is a 38.5 percent shooter from deep. With Haliburton out, we expect coach Rick Carlisle to use Nesmith more, and that probably means shooting more and making more 3-pointers. Expect Nesmith’s attempts to go higher this season, at least until Haliburton comes back, which should lead to more made threes.
Parlay Payout: Wager $100 to win $460
Chet Holmgren has a high possibility of grabbing 10 or more rebounds, as he is a glass cleaner for the Thunder alongside Hartenstein, and looking at the Pacers’ loss of Myles Turner to the Bucks this offseason, we expect both Holmgren and Hartenstein to attack the offensive glass as the Pacers have no answer for Thunder’s size.
Chet could record a double-double in the game against the Pacers as he was the second leading scorer in the first game of the 2025-26 season against the Rockets, dropping 28 points. And after SGA, we expect Holmgren to be their second scoring option, looking at the fact that Jaylen Williams will be sidelined for second straight game. As explained earlier, we expect the Thunder to crash the offensive boards in this game using Holmgren’s size, which the Pacers may not have answers for. Look for Holmgren to have double digits in scoring and rebounds in this game

Here are some best player props for the game between the Indiana Pacers and the Oklahoma City Thunder as per FanDuel.
With Jaylen Williams out for the game, the Thunder will continue to rely on Gilgeous Alexander to put a bunch of points on the board, and with SGA’s elite scoring versatility from all three-levels, we expect him to get at least 3 or more points in 3 minutes. Whether it’s drawing fouls resulting in free throws, driving to the cup, or pulling up for a middy. And with Nembhard as his primary defender, this is a safe bet.
With Tyrese Haliburton still out, we expect the Pacers to go to Pascal Siakam to score the basketball a lot more, and in the 2024-25 finals against the Thunder, he scored 19 or more points in 4/7 games, making this a safe bet.
Andrew Nembhard will be the starting point guard for the Pacers, going against the Thunder, and we expect Nembhard to grow into a facilitator more this season, with Haliburton out with an Achilles injury. He averaged 5.0 assists last season on 28.9 minutes played per game, and if his usage goes up, so should the assist numbers, making this a great bet.

mma I cover the National Football League and things cannot get better than that. I always dreamed to play football or basketball professionally since I’m built like a Running Back. But now that I can’t, since I’m technically in the “Unc” age, I thought why not pick a career in sports industry? So here I am, doing what I love, and hoping that the Commanders win the Super Bowl. I give love to players when it’s due, but can be critical about their performances at the same time. Enough about me, now let my articles do all the talking.
