2025 Miami Open ATP Quarterfinal Schedule – Who Faces Whom in the Last Eight?

After a rollercoaster ten days, the Miami Open 2025 has reached the final eight stage. With numerous upsets taking out the likes of Carlos Alcaraz, Daniil Medvedev and Alexander Zverev, a lot of unexpected names have popped up in the QFs.

Novak Djokovic remains on course for a record seventh Miami crown – the Serb has looked like an immovable force this week. In the 40th edition of the premier event in Florida, the 37-year-old now stands as the firm favourite.

However, Nole’s path to the summit clash is not going to be easy. While Americans Sebastian Korda and Taylor Fritz are going to receive a strong home support, there is also a balance of experience (Grior Dimitrov and Matteo Berrettini) and youth (Arthur Fils and Jakub Mensik) as the Sunshine state heats up.

Miami Open 2025 ATP Quarterfinal Schedule

The quarterfinals of the men’s section in the Miami Open are being played on 26 March and 27 March at the Hard Rock Stadium. While the round kicks off with Grigor Dimitrov taking on Francisco Cerundolo, there are other mouth-watering clashes that will follow. Here is the complete list of matches that await:

Grigor Dimitrov (14) vs Francisco Cerundolo (23)

Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov enters the last eight on the back of two challenging encounters. He had to endure a whirlwind of twists and turns in Round-3 when he defeated Karen Khachanov. Down two break points at 3-4 in the deciding set, he fought back. In the Round of 16, ‘Baby Federer’ overcame Brandon Nakashima in two tight sets to progress.

Francisco Cerundolo is yet to drop a set at the Miami Open this year. What makes this even more impressive is the fact that he has taken out the No. 5 and No. 12 seeds along the way. Both Casper Ruud and Tommy Paul were no match for the Argentine, as he reached his third QF in four appearances here.

Arthur Fils (17) vs Jakub Mensik

In a battle of the young guns, Frenchman Arthur Fils takes on Czechia’s Jakub Mensik for a spot in the semifinals. Expect nothing short of fireworks in this encounter – the two players are arguably among the hardest strikers of the tennis ball on tour.

Mensik notched a huge victory when he took out Indian Wells champion Jack Draper in Round-2. Having dropped a solitary set thus far, he will have plenty of energy left in the tank. On the other hand, Fils had to endure injury scares and long three-setters against Tiafoe and Zverev to book a spot in the last eight.

Novak Djokovic (4) vs Sebastian Korda (24)

In perhaps the most lopsided match in terms of the pre-match predictions, Novak Djokovic takes on a possibly ailing Sebastian Korda. Korda was the chunk in Stefanos Tsitsipas’ armour this time, as the No. 9 seed was dumped out in straight sets. Following this, a thriller against Monfils confirmed a quarterfinal booking for the 24-year-old.

Looking for his 41st Masters-1000 trophy, Djokovic is yet to win a title this year. Miami has been the tournament where he has looked in the best touch – the 24-time Grand Slam winner is yet to drop a set on the outdoor hard courts. If he beats Korda, he is likely to face Grigor Dimitrov in a tasty match-up.

Taylor Fritz (3) vs Matteo Berrettini (29)

Leading the American charge will be No. 3 seed Taylor Fritz. The former Indian Wells champion and US Open finalist lost in Round-2 in Miami last year. As a result, he had nothing to lose coming into the tournament. Like Djokovic, Fritz has beaten the likes of Denis Shapovalov and Lorenzo Sonego without dropping a set.

As for Matteo Berrettini, an impressive win against the in-form speed machine Alex de Minaur would have bolstered his confidence. Finding his feet after a string of injuries, ‘Marvellous Matteo’ has been mastering the art of the serve plus one tactic – something that we saw during his prime days.
