Saquon Barkley was the talk of the town throughout the 2024-25 NFL campaign.
His offensive heroics earned him the 2024 AP Offensive Player of the Year Award, and he also helped his Philadelphia Eagles to the Superbowl LIX title. Will he repeat as the OPOY award winner?
As we are just a couple of months away from the release of the NFL schedule, here is an early look at the odds related to the NFL 2025-2026 season Offensive Player of the Year Award.
Per BetMGM, Saquon Barkley is the overwhelming favorite to nab the OPOY award during the 2025-26 season. And why wouldn’t he be? He inked his name all over the history books during the 2024 season. The scintillating running back rushed an impressive 2,005 yards (8th all-time in NFL history) while tallying a league-leading 2,283 yards culminating in 15 touchdowns. The running back agreed to a record-breaking 2-year, $41 million contract extension with the Eagles recently, hoping to replicate his heroics from the latest season with the Super Bowl winners.
You can bet on Saquon Barkley for OPOY 25-26 at BetMGM with odds of +500.
Jahmyr Gibbs showed tremendous prowess in his sophomore season, recording 1,412 rushing yards and completing a league-leading 20 touchdowns during the 2024-25 campaign. The 22-year Detroit Lions running back has tremendous potential and will be expected to have another terrific offensive season. But will Sonic be able to snatch the OPOY award from Barkley? Who knows! The young and sprightly running back can reach his peak as soon as next season.
Ja’Marr Chase had a monumental performance during the 2024-25 season. The Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver had a breakout season with 1,708 receiving yards(1st), leading to a highly impressive 17 touchdowns(4th overall). While he couldn’t lead his Bengals to a playoff berth, the 25-year-old WR set a brilliant template for the upcoming season.
Like Gibbs, Bijan Robinson also had turned on the jets during his sophomore season during the 2024-25 campaign. The Atlanta Falcons running back produced 1,456 rushing yards(3rd) and 431 receiving yards, leading to 15 TDs(tied for 5th). He will enter his third year with endless possibilities and is a dark horse for the OPOY award.
Running back Derrick Henry had a terrific 2024-25 campaign with the Baltimore Ravens. After spending eight seasons with the Tennessee Titans, King Henry reminded everyone of one of his 2019-20 and 2020-21 campaigns in his maiden season with the Ravens. He turned the heat with 1,921 rushing yards(2nd) and had a total of 18 TDs(2nd). The seasoned vet has fit in perfectly with the Ravens’ offense and will be eager to win his 2nd OPOY award.

Justin Jefferson | +1600 |

While Barkley may be a lucrative choice to win the Offensive Player of the Award next season, do note that there have been no repeat winners in more than 20 years. Marshall Faulk three-peated as the Offensive Player of the Year from 1999 to 2001, and before him, only Earl Campbell three-peated from 1978 to 1980.
So, the odds may be a little deceptive here. It implies that Barkley is not a safe pick by any means but his otherworldly numbers last season also speak volumes. However, Ja’Marr Chase and Jahmyr Gibbs as youngsters look solid picks too.
