Bronny made his G League debut last week.
Los Angles Lakers’ rookie Bronny James made his G League debut last week, scoring six points with four assists and three rebounds in a win over the Salt Lake City Stars.
Fans were eager to see him back on the court for South Bay’s next game against the Santa Cruz Warriors on Friday. However, it has been reported that Bronny will not be available for the road game.
ESPN’s Brian Windhorst on an episode of “The Hoop Collective,” revealed that Bronny, the 20-year-old son of NBA superstar LeBron James, is only slated to participate in home games for the team and won’t fly commercially with the G League team.

“He’s only going to play in the South Bay Lakers’ home games,” Windhorst said.
However, the senior ESPN reporter Windhorst expressed concerns about Lakers decision, suggesting that it might not be beneficial for Bronny’s development.
He admitted that Bronny getting special treatment because of his father’s legacy is understandable but warned that it could be detrimental to his growth as a player.

“I know he’s getting somewhat special treatment and nepotism. That’s fine; honestly, I don’t care. Like I said, it’s normal. Now, I think it’s actually detrimental to him. I don’t like that. I don’t know whose idea it was, but obviously, the Lakers are fine with it—they’re doing it.
On this particular instance, I think that’s gone too far, and I don’t think it benefits Bronny. I don’t think it benefits the South Bay Lakers, and I don’t think it benefits LeBron at this point,” Windhorst added.
Bronny made his NBA debut on October 22 during the Lakers’ season opener against the Minnesota Timberwolves, marking a historic moment alongside his father, LeBron James.
In his limited playing time with the Los Angeles Lakers, Bronny has appeared in five games, averaging 0.7 points, 0.2 rebounds, and 0.3 assists per game.
He has played 14 minutes in the NBA, with his most recent appearance being a 1:28 stint in a victory over the Philadelphia 76ers.
