2025 NBA All-Star weekend will be held in San Francisco from Feb. 14 to Feb. 16. Top players from both conferences will be in action and apart from the trophy, all eyes will be on the All-Star Game MVP award, which is given to the most valuable player of the competition.
All-Star MVP award was changed to the NBA All-Star Game Kobe Bryant MVP in 2020 to honor the former Lakers superstar. Kobe Bryant also holds the record of most All-Star Game MVP awards.

Lakers guard, LeBron James has a chance to join the both legends at the top. The 40-year-old is tied with Michael Jordan, Shaquille O’Neal and Oscar Robertson, who won the award three times. Shaquille O’Neal and Kobe Bryant were co-MVPs in 2009.
Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook, Allen Iverson, Magic Johnson, Karl Malone, Julius Irving, Isiah Thomas and Bob Cousy have won the award twice. Kevin Durant can become the fifth player to win the All-Star MVP honor three times if the Suns legend win it this year.

Damian Lillard is currently the reigning NBA All-Star Game MVP who won the trophy in 2024. He also won the 3-pointer contest for the second time in 2024. The Bucks star scored 39 points against the West while shooting 14-for-26 from the field and 11-for-23 from 3-point range.
Jayson Tatum was named the All-Star Game MVP in 2023 and the Warriors star Stephen Curry won the honor for the first time in 2022.
