Take a look at the head coaches with the most Super Bowl wins
Over the 100-year history of the NFL, legendary head coaches have defined the sport of football. Each decade has seen a select few coaches dominate and help shape dynasties. While the rise of player power and extravagant personalities has changed the role of head coaches, their critical importance to a team’s success cannot be understated.
While there have been many successful coaches in the NFL over the years, some have managed to etch their names in the history books forever. That said, in this piece we will take a look at the coaches that have won the most Super Bowls.
In total, there are 35 head coaches that have ever won the Super Bowl. Out of the 35, 14 have managed to do it multiple times. One name that stands out among those 14 head coaches is Bill Belichick.
Belichick is widely regarded as one of the greatest head coaches of all time. While people’s opinions may vary, the fact of the matter is that he has won the most number of Super Bowls as a head coach, six. Taking up the role of a head coach for the New England Patriots in 2000, he stayed with them till 2023 and won six Super Bowls in the process.
Interestingly, Belichick has won two more Super Bowls as a defensive coordinator for the New York Giants. Another name that cannot be forgotten is that of Chuck Noll.
The former Steeler’s head coach won four Super Bowls during his tenure. Moreover, he has two more to his name as a player.
Bill Walsh, Joe Gibbs, and Andy Reid have all won three Super Bowls, while 9 more coaches have won the title twice. Reid is considered to be one of the best head coaches of this generation.
Having won the Super Bowl three times with the Kansas City Chiefs, he has a chance to make history by becoming the first-ever head coach to win three-straight Super Bowls if the Chiefs end up winning the Super Bowl LIX.
