Let's explore the Nationality and Religion of Pascal Siakam.
On Friday, May 23, the Indiana Pacers registered a remarkable 114-109 win over the New York Knicks in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals 2025. With this win, the Pacers are now leading the series 2-0, and are just two wins away from securing their first NBA Finals appearance since 2000. The game saw power forward Pascal Siakam leading the Pacers with a solid 39 points, five rebounds, and three assists.
He was shooting 15-of-23 from the field and 3-of-5 from the three-point range, and recorded his playoff-career high performance. Not only this, but the three-time NBA All-Star now has three 35-point playoff games in the Pacers history, only trailing behind Paul George’s record of four games and Reggie Miller’s 11 games.

The 31-year-old has been averaging 18.6 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 3.4 assists per game for the side in the 2025 playoffs, recording the second-highest average, just behind Tyrese Haliburton. As the Pacers aim to continue their winning momentum, let’s explore Pascal Siakam’s nationality, religion and more.
Pascal Siakam, who was picked by the Toronto Raptors as the 27th overall pick in the 2016 NBA Draft, was born on April 2, 1994 in Douala, Cameroon. He was the youngest of four brothers. His father, Tchamo, was the mayor of Makenene as well as worked for a local transit company.
Notably, Cameroon is located in central Africa, below Nigeria and Chad, and shares its borders with Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Congo and the Central African Republic.
Pascal Siakam had a deep influence of his religion, Catholicism, on his upbringing. When he was just 11 years old, his father enrolled him into St. Andrew’s Seminary, a Catholic academy in Bafia, Cameroon, which served as Pascal Siakam’s home for four years.
According to a story by ESPN, Siakam was “hand-picked to embody his family’s Catholicism.” However, by the age of 15, the 2019 champion lost his interest and opted out to free himself from the bounds of theology. However, he developed a sense of discipline and introspection with his life in seminary, and these two characters helped him in his basketball career.
