The 2025 NBA Summer League began on July 10.
The Las Vegas NBA Summer League 2025 is going on in full swing. We finally got two teams competing for the championship game. Sacramento Kings and Charlotte Hornets will lock horns in the NBA Summer League finals after defeating the Raptors and the Thunder in the semifinals respectively. The NBA Summer League, like every edition, allows the league’s next generation players to showcase their skills and make a name for themselves before debuting in the regular season.
Several names including the likes of Ace Bailey from the Utah Jazz, Cooper Flagg from the Dallas Mavericks, Philadelphia 76ers’ VJ Edgecombe, and more had everyone’s eyes set on them. While some have already begun to exceed everyone’s expectations, others are yet to make an impression.

The 11-day NBA extravaganza that began on July 10 will comes to an end on July 20. During this tenure, all 30 teams will be required to play five games each, and the playoffs will be decided on the basis of results from the first four games. Then, the top four teams from these games played in the semifinals on July 19 in Las Vegas.
The championship game will be played between the Hornets and the Kings on July 20 at 10 pm ET in Las Vegas.
Players participating in the NBA Summer League don’t have a fixed salary, and what they would earn solely depends on their contract with the team. For example, the players with full NBA deals like first-round picks or returning veterans won’t get more money for playing in the Summer League. It is considered as a part of their off-season work.
Apart from them, players who have two-way contracts and move between the NBA and G League earn a base salary of $560,000 in 2025. However, they also don’t earn extra money for Summer League but their trip, accommodation and food charges are entirely covered.
Not only this, but the players who have an Exhibit 10 deal also don’t get extra payment for Summer League. However, they can earn a bonus up to $75,000 if they are cut and then stay at least 60 days with the G League. Their food, stay and travel during the Summer League are also covered.
