New York delivered under pressure once again, knocking down Detroit and winning it all in the first round of the Pistons vs. Knicks series. This has been one of the most alive playoffs’ series so far, and even the ending justified its nature of thrilling with a Jalen Brunson dagger.

Pistons vs. Knicks game 6 was another close one with both the teams battling it out till the last second of the matchup. The New York Knicks were struggling on the road. Their primary player, Karl Anthony Towns, couldn’t get going. He managed to just put up 10 points in 37 minutes.

However, Jalen Brunson stood in the most vital time. He led the scoresheet with 40 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists and had to play for 42 minutes. Role players also contributed to fill the void of Karl Anthony Town’s scoring. Mikal Bridges played the most minutes (44) and scored 25 points.

The Knicks beat the Pistons’ defense even on their rough scoring day. While, Detroit’s attack was also playing catchup with the Knicks. No player even touched 25 points for the home team. Cade Cunningham scored 23 points, Jalen Duren 21 points, and Malik Beasley scored 20 points in the Pistons vs. Knicks game 6.

Clutch Run Seals Knicks’ Road Comeback

The Detroit Pistons had the game within their reach as they were leading 112-105 with a couple of minutes to go. However, the New York Knicks went on to show their quality, with Bridges and Brunson stepping up. In the end, the visitors went on an 11-1 run. Jalen Brunson scored a dagger three pointer in one of the most clutch times.

The Detroit Pistons had the chance to level the game by scoring a three pointer with just 4 seconds of play. Cade Cunningham made the play and passed the ball to Malik Beasley, who was just beyond the arc. But the small forward failed to catch the pass and the ball went out of bounds, resulting in a major Pistons heartbreak.

The Pistons vs. Knicks series had everything with tempers flaring, physical outbreaks, clutch plays and thrilling matches. It is to be seen if any other playoffs series even comes close to what the Detroit Pistons and the New York Knicks put up for over a week.
