“People Will Always Discredit You” – Tyrese Haliburton Calls Out Doubters, Slams For Undermining Pacers’ NBA Finals Journey

Tyrese Haliburton stands up for the Indiana Pacers' playoff run, firing back at those undermining

Indiana Pacers are level up with the OKC Thunder by 1-1 going into their home stretch. Despite the Game 2 loss in the NBA Finals, the Pacers have plenty to look forward to and reasons to be proud.

The Pacers have been a team that has been doubted at every step this season. Whether it was early in the season or deep into the playoffs. Overcoming one of the toughest sets of playoffs series’ Indiana is just games away from their dream title.

Tyrese Haliburton recently sat down with the ESPN network and talked about the season. He briefly spoke on how his side was overlooked despite overcoming some of the toughest challenges all season. However, the 25-year-old and his team has used that as as fuel for their playoff success.

Tyrese Haliburton said, “I think when you’re successful people will always find a reason to discredit you. That’s really how it goes. The way that our sport is talked about sometimes—even by the people who are put in the most major positions to talk about it—is not always beneficial, really for anybody.

He added, “I think that’s just how things go sometimes. For us, it’s about controlling what we can. At the end of the day, it doesn’t matter what people have to say about our road to get here, where we are right now, how we’re playing. We’re three games away from being NBA champions. That’s the biggest thing.”

Fitness Concerns Rise, Confidence Stays High

Tyrese Haliburton will be playing the third game of the NBA Finals against the OKC Thunder as his side returns to their home court. The point guard has been experiencing discomfort over his lower leg and was considered a doubt going forward.

However, Haliburton has rebuffed the discomfort and suggested that he will hit the court come Thursday. The 25-year-old has had a history of hamstring problems and also missed last season’s Eastern Conference Finals due to it. It remains unclear whether Haliburton’s discomfort stems from a calf or recurring hamstring issue.

Tyrese Haliburton remains central to Indiana’s Finals plans, especially with home court advantage in the upcoming games. His fitness will be crucial to the Pacers’ chances moving forward.
