Who's in and who's out for Monday's face-off between the Pelicans and the Spurs?
The New Orleans Pelicans are once again set to lock horns with the San Antonio Spurs in the NBA 2025-26 regular season. This will be the third time both teams will be up against each other in the ongoing season. In their previous two meetings, the Spurs recorded easy victories over the Pelicans to get a 2-0 lead over their divisional rivals. They would aim to continue their dominance and expand the lead to 3-0, while the Pelicans would avenge the defeats and open their account against the Spurs.
The hosts will enter the gameplay on the back of a six-game losing skid. In their most-recent fixture, they suffered a 119-101 loss to the Brooklyn Nets, and recorded their 21st defeat of the season. On the other hand, the San Antonio Spurs ended their two-game winning streak and suffered a 130-117 loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers. Both teams are coming off losses and would aim to turn those results around. However, given how they have been performing, we can expect a lopsided game unfolding at Smoothie King Center in New Orleans on Monday.
Having said that, let’s get into injury reports and expected starting lineups for both teams ahead of their Monday’s face-off.
