NBA Playoffs Seeding for Eastern Conference- Who faces whom in the 2025 NBA Playoffs?

Here is how the NBA 2024-25 playoff seeds look like for the Eastern Conference.

All 30 NBA teams engaged in the final few clashes for the 2024-25 regular season on Friday, April 11. In the East, the Orlando Magic, led by Trevelin Queen’s 25 points and backed by Anthony Black’s 21 points, took down the Indiana Pacers 129-115. Similarly, the Milwaukee Bucks took down the Detroit Pistons 125-119, behind Giannis Antetokounmpo’s triple-double performance of 32 points, 11 rebounds and 15 assists.

The Atlanta Hawks were led by Trae Young’s 36 points, three rebounds and 11 assists as they handed a 124-110 loss to the Philadelphia 76ers. The game saw Caris LeVert scoring 31 points, four rebounds and four assists for the Hawks. In addition, the Chicago Bulls got the better of the Washington Wizards 119-89.

These wins of the Magic, Bucks, Hawks and the Bulls have locked in the playoff seeds for all the top six teams of the Eastern Conference teams as well as their play-in clubs. The top ten teams in the East, as confirmed by the NBA, are-

Eastern Conference 2024-25 Playoffs First Round Series

The SoFi NBA Play-In Tournament, set to begin on Tuesday, April 15, will see the seventh-seeded Orlando Magic (41-40) clashing against the No. 8 Atlanta Hawks (39-42). The winner of the clash will claim the seventh seed in the playoffs. On Wednesday, the Chicago Bulls (38-43) will be up against the No. 10 Miami Heat (36-44). The winner of this clash will be up against the loser of the Magic/Hawks fixture to grab the No. 8 seed in the standings.

This is what the Eastern Conference first round series for the 2024-25 playoff looks like-

Cleveland Cavaliers (64-17) vs. No. 8 seeds
Boston Celtics (60-21) vs. Winner of Magic vs Hawks Play-In Clash
New York Knicks (50-31) vs. Detroit Pistons (44-37)
Indiana Pacers (49-32) vs. Milwaukee Bucks (47-34)

The first round playoff series will begin on April 19, and the Eastern Conference Final is scheduled on May 21. The NBA Finals 2025 will begin on June 5, with the last of the seven-game series scheduled on June 22.
