NBA Playoffs 2025 Boston Celtics vs. New York Knicks Injury Report- Latest Updates on Fitness For Both Sides Ahead of Game 2

In Game 1, the Knicks took down the Celtics 108-105 in an overtime win.

The New York Knicks will return to TD Garden on Wednesday, May 7 for Game 2 of their NBA Playoffs 2025 Western Conference Semifinals series against the Boston Celtics. The series opener saw the Knicks stealing home-court advantage from the reigning champions. The visitors erased a 20-point deficit and took down the 18-time champions 108-105 in an overtime win to set an early dominance. 

Jalen Brunson and OG Anunoby came up with leading performances as they dropped 29 points apiece. Apart from them, a total of three players ended up in two-digit figures. For the Celtics, Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum both scored 23 points each. While Brown grabbed 7 rebounds, and dished out five assists, Tatum recorded 16 rebounds, and six assists. Derrick White, Jrue Holiday, and Payton Pritchard were other three players who chipped in two-digit points. 

In the upcoming game, the Celtics would aim to make the most of their home court advantage while the Knicks, seemingly high on confidence, would want to continue their momentum and clinch a 2-0 lead before the series moves to Madison Square Garden for Game 3 and Game 4.

Boston Celtics Injuries 

  • Sam Hauser- Doubtful (Right Ankle Sprain)
  • Kristaps Porzingis- Probable (Non-Covid Illness) 

The reigning champions have listed Sam Hauser as doubtful for the forthcoming game with a right ankle sprain. Hauser suffered a sprained ankle sprain during Game 1 loss, and his status for Game 2 now remains uncertain. They also have Kristaps Porzingis listed as probable with a non-covid illness. He played 13 minutes in the series opener due to illness, and was subbed out midway through the second quarter. However, with his status listed as ‘probable’, Porzingis is expected to play in the game without any major issue. 

New York Knicks’ Injuries

The New York Knicks have a clean injury report for Game 2, which means they will head into the clash with a fully healthy roster.
