NBA Cup 2025 Group Draw Results Announced: Thunder Grouped With Timberwolves, Reigning Champions Bucks Paired With Knicks

The NBA Cup 2025 will begin on October 31, 2025.

The NBA announced the results for the NBA Cup 2025 group stage draw on Wednesday. Per the draw, there are three groups per conference with five teams in each group. All the 30 teams in the league have been randomly drawn against each other based on their win-loss record from the 2024-25 regular season. According to the results, the 2025 NBA Champions OKC Thunder have been paired along with their 2025 conference finals rivals Minnesota Timberwolves.

In the East, the 2024 NBA Cup winners Milwaukee Bucks have been grouped with the New York Knicks. Notably, the third edition of the tournament will begin on October 31, ten days after the beginning of the 2025-26 regular season. In the tournament, each team will play four Group Play games on “Cup Nights”, out of which one game would come against each opponent in its group, two at home, and two on the road.

Moving ahead, eight teams will advance to the Knockout Rounds, the six teams leading each group and one wild card entry from each conference. It is to be noted that the semifinals and championship game will be played in Las Vegas on December 13 and December 16, respectively.

The groups are set for the Emirates NBA Cup 2025.
